What a Week!
Wow, it is just so amazing how busy life can be. Setting the time aside to write this blog is an achievement in and of itself.
EFT is just such a wonderful tool especially when you get the opportunity to help family members. Introduced a 79 year old family member to EFT. She needed some help managing her anxiety around a health issue. She took to it like a duck to water and is happily tapping away. It is helping her feel more calm. Well, that was a week Sunday. She was a brilliant student. The only reason I added that was because I read an online discussion asking about working with older clients. In my experience older clients take just as well to EFT as younger clients.
Wll anyway, then there was all the preparation for running the EFT Level 3 course. Decided to rewrite the course the night before. I brought in a lot of new language patterns and different types of reframes. I think I’m a workaholic!
Working in my clinic all week was great as well, especially working on physical problems. I had one client bouncing around the office testing that the ache in his bad back had gone. (It was his choice to bounce)
Also just writing an article on metaphors (stories) and EFT. should be interesting. Writing really focusses your mind. Metaphors can be a fantastic tool for helping clients see new perspectives on their issues. They can also make the therapy session very relaxing and enjoyable.
Well there comes a point where you need to stop for the night and I think I have reached that point. Off to watch XMen. Bye.
