EFT International Accredited Practitioner Status
For those who want to become a professional EFT therapist, to gain accredited status students need to attend an EFT Level 1 and 2 training and complete post training requirements set by the EFT International, the accrediting body. Part of the requirements are that students attend a supervision session prior to gaining their accredited certificate. If you click on the links of the course you are interested in below you can find out more the courses including the post training requirements for gaining an EFT International Accredited Practitioner status. The EFT Level 1 and 2 trainings are also suitable for those who just want to learn EFT but are not interested in becoming a therapist.
All courses are held in central Manchester unless otherwise stated. The exact location can be found at the foot of the page.
EFT Level 1 (One Day Training): Friday
This is the entry level training that is suitable for those new to EFT and also those who would like to add EFT to their existing therapy practice or for those who would like to start a new career as an EFT Practitioner (level 1 and 2 required to gain this status. More information below). This course provides the foundational knowledge and experience required to start you EFT Training on solid ground.
Syllabus – Level 1
- Rapport Skills
Rapport is the key to connection. It is very important in a therapy situation. So how can we establish rapport quickly with people? And how can we reestablish it if we lose it?
- Setting Up Feedback Systems
All effective therapists work using feedback from the client and “the problem”. What types of feedback can we use? How can we create feedback systems?
- Calibration Skills
Picking up subtle communications from the client can increased your effectiveness as a therapist. In this section of the course we identify the key things you should be paying attention to.
- How does EFT work
EFT is an energy therapy. How does it work?
- How to tune into the problem
The key to EFT is tuning into “the problem” and then tapping. There is an art and skill to this process. On this training we identify how we can laser focus the tuning in process.
- Direct Language Approaches
There are various ways we can use language to tune into “the problem”. This module teaches direct language. It also covers when not to use direct language.
- Movie Technique
Movie technique is a gentle dissociative technique we use in EFT for diminishing the emotional discomfort related to a trauma. It is a powerful, easy approach that can get excellent results often very quickly.
- Dealing with cravings
Cravings can be part of many issues such as food addictions, chocolate addictions etc. In this component of the course how to use EFT on immediate craving will be demonstrated.
- Introduction to dealing with pain and physical problems
Although people often think that EFT is predominantly used with emotional issues it is also used on pain and physical problems. this training day will cover how to tune into these type of problems and how to apply EFT, tapping.
- Dealing with intense emotional reactions
It is very common when dealing with emotions or events in our lives that were distressing that emotions can come to the surface. What can we do if whilst we are working using EFT that powerful emotions come up. This covers the simple ways that we can apply EFT to this situation.
- What to do if EFT isn’t working
There are various ways we can modify how we apply EFT if it appears that it isn’t working. This component of the course covers those strategies.
- Specific Problems
During the course specific issues will be discussed, for example weight issues, fears, phobias. Trainees have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the specific issues they are interested in.
- Personal Peace Procedure
How can we begin to clear out our issues? The personal peace procedure is a simple strategy for identifying what we need to tap on using EFT in order to deal with our own emotional or physical problem.
Accredited EFT Practitioner (2 day training) – EFT Level 2: Saturday/ Sunday
This course follows on from the EFT Level 1 building attendees knowledge and experience of all the basic approaches taught in EFT. It provides students with plenty of opportunity to practice and see live demonstrations.

EFT International Accredited Practitioner Certification
These courses conform to the standard set by EFT International. They are set to their syllabus. At the end of attendance at Level 1 and 2 attendees are issued attendance. certificates for each level. To gain an EFT International Accredited Practitioner status students need to complete the requirements set by the EFT International. These currently are to supply 4 case histories at a level 2 standard (use techniques taught at this level and show understanding and the ability to apply these techniques correctly and safely). Also to complete a multiple choice online questionnaire. Support is available if needed to complete these levels.
EFT International Accredited Advanced Practitioner: EFT Level 3 (2 day training)
To attend this training you need to have already attended levels 1 and 2. This training builds upon the knowledge already gained. It is geared toward helping students gain mastery in their ability to get results with EFT. It goes beyond the mechanical approaches taught at levels 1 and 2 into the intuitive and mastery of advanced skills.

- Dealing with birth and pre-birth experiences
- More creative ways of using language
- Reframing to speed up results and to bypass resistance
- Inner child work
- Introduction to Deep State RePatterning (Tania A Prince developed this approach, which featured in the book, EFT and Beyond)
- Introduction to Mindfulness Based Inner RePatterning (Tania A Prince developed this approach)
EFT International Advanced Practitioner Certification
These courses conform to the standard set by EFT International. To gain an advanced EFT practitioner status students need to complete the requirements set by the EFT International. These currently are to supply 4 case histories at a level 3 standard (use techniques taught at this level and show understanding and the ability to apply these techniques correctly and safely). Students also need to do an online multiple choice questionnaire. Support is available if needed to complete these levels.
Supervision
Attendance at supervision is a requirement for gaining and retaining accreditation by the EFT International. There is no syllabus on supervision. On these days students are given the opportunity to discuss difficult cases and to contribute and receive suggestions as to alternative ways of working with their client or issue. During these sessions students are kept informed of changes within the profession that might have an impact on their practice. It is also the place to discuss new approaches and practice any techniques you feel a need to practice. These are ideal opportunities to network and get support from colleagues. This course is open to people who have attended EFT 1, 2, 3 as well as trainers.
Advanced EFT Techniques: DSR
Two day intensive training in DSR (Deep State RePatterning). This technique uses EFT to deal with past life experiences, past generations, birth and pre-birth that are foundational to the clients current issues.
